James W. Nowotarski is an assistant professor in the Graduate School of Business and Leadership at NLU's downtown Chicago campus. His focus is on the impact of digital technologies on business, the economy, and society. External to NLU, he is a member of the Association for Information Systems (AIS), Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), Project Management Institute (PMI), and Society for Information Management (SIM). He holds the CISA, CPHIMS, and PMP certifications. Prior to joining NLU, he worked at the consulting firm Accenture in Chicago for more than 20 years on large information technology projects for clients such as Baxter International, IBM, the Internal Revenue Service, and The Northern Trust Bank. He also led Accenture research and development initiatives in systems development, eCommerce, knowledge management, and offshore development. He taught numerous classes at Accenture's training facilities in Asia, Europe, and North America.
