Learning Support
Welcome to NLU Learning Support.
Our mission is to offer proactive academic assistance for NLU students. We provide personalized tutoring (both virtually and onsite) in writing, math, computer science, and English-language learning (ELL/ESL support); coordinate with faculty to support student learning; host workshops and events to prepare students for major assessments; create and curate help guides and tutorials; and advocate for equitable educational access.
All of our services are completely free for any student enrolled at NLU.

Our team consists of writing, math, computer science, and ELL specialists who have extensive experience tutoring and providing general academic support to both undergraduate and graduate students.

Note: To ensure that everyone can receive support, we request that students:
- Limit writing , graduate writing , APA formatting, or English Language tutoring to one appointment per relevant class, per week.
- Limit math and computer science tutoring to two appointments per relevant class, per week.

Study Tables has concluded for the 2025-2026 Academic Year. We'll be back in the fall, though!
It will resume its standard Monday-to-Friday operations on Monday, September 21st, 2026.
Need help before the new school year officially starts? Schedule an appointment with us! We're still here! We would still love to meet with you! We just need advance notice.
Learning Support offers an assignment drop-off service. The service allows our specialists to review your homework before you submit it.
Note: We do our best to provide feedback within two business days, but we cannot guarantee a quicker turnaround than that. If you've got a big assignment coming up, finish it early so that we have time to look it over!
