Program: M.A.T. Programs (Blended & Online)

Details: There is a 30% discount offered for Archdiocese faculty who enroll in an NLU M.A.T. degree program. 

Start Term: Through Fall 2024 term

Details: NLU and the D38 are partnering to offer these high need endorsements for those current teachers dedicated to providing high quality instruction for culturally and linguistically diverse students.

Program: Early Childhood Education M.A.T. Teacher Residency Program - including Licensure and additional endorsement (Blended & Online)

Details: As a key partner for CPS’ Teacher Residency Program, NLU offers district-approved candidates a one-year program to earn licensure in early childhood education. Successful candidates will be hired by CPS for a full-time role after their residency year. Each candidate selects one additional endorsement to earn (either ESL/Bilingual Education or Special Education/LBS I) in addition to their MAT. Learn more here!

Program: ESL and ESL/Bilingual Education, Endorsement (Blended & Online)

Details: In partnership with CPS’ Office of Language & Cultural Education (OLCE) NLU and CPS provide endorsement pathways for those current teachers dedicated to providing high quality instruction for culturally and linguistically diverse students. A portion of the program costs are covered by generous funding support by OLCE. OLCE will cover 50% of the tuition.

Program: Special Education/LBS I M.A.T. Teacher Residency Program - including Licensure (Blended & Online)

Details: As a key partner for CPS’ Teacher Residency Program, NLU offers district-approved candidates a one-year program to earn licensure in special education/Learning Behavior Specialist I (LBS I). Program: Early Childhood Subsequent Teaching Endorsement (Blended)

Details: The Early Childhood Subsequent Teaching Endorsement program is designed for those looking to expand their career options to teach in grades birth-2. Coursework is based on your previous work experience.

Program: Reading Teacher & Specialist, Endorsement or Degree (Blended)

Details: This coursework is designed for teachers who are interested in enhancing their skills within the areas of literacy, development and instruction. Educators can choose between two tracks: Reading Teacher or Reading Specialists. Either track can be applied toward the M.Ed. in Reading.

Program: ELE Math Specialist, Endorsement (Online)

Details: NLU and the TIDE are partnering to offer this high need endorsements for those current teachers dedicated to providing high quality instruction as math coaches, leaders, and interventionalists. 

Start Term: Starts Summer 2024, rolling basis

Open/Closed: Closed to DuPage TIDE educators, must register through TIDE before enrolling with NLU.

Program: Elementary Education, M.A.T. and Licensure (Blended & Online)

Details: Earn your Master’s and an Illinois teaching license to begin your career as an elementary educator in the classroom. As part of this collaboration with ECC and NLU, not only can ECC employees receive a lower partnership tuition rate but so can ECC partner schools’ employees and the residents of District 509!

Program: Higher Education Leadership, Ed.D. (Blended)

Details: For those pursuing a career in administration and leadership within higher education, this is an opportunity for you! As part of this collaboration with ECC and NLU, not only can ECC employees receive a lower partnership tuition rate but so can ECC partner schools’ employees and the residents of District 509!

Program: Educational Leadership, MEd - with Principal endorsement (Blended)

Details: Classes are blended meeting one weekend a month at the district offices This is offered for both educators working for Glenbrook D225 and those outside of the district interested in earning their Principal endorsement.

Details: NLU and LEARN are partnering to offer this high need endorsement for those current teachers interested in adding their Middle Grade Math Endorsement. A portion of the program costs will be covered by generous funding from LEARN.

Details: There is a 20% discount offered for D207 faculty who enroll in an NLU degree program (endorsements are not included).

Details: Classes are blended meeting one weekend a month at a TBD location within the district. This is offered for educators working within the district interested in earning their Principal endorsement.

Details: Noble and NLU are partnering to provide their current and incoming high school educators with an opportunity to earn an M.A.T. and an Illinois professional teaching license (PEL) in their current content area. A portion of the program costs are covered by generous funding support by Noble. Noble will cover 75% of tuition for degrees and endorsements starting July 1, 2021.

Details: In collaboration with Teach for America, NLU provides MAT Alternative Certification Programs for Corps Members who will serve in classrooms for two years.
