Dual Credit at National Louis University

NLU has dual credit partnerships with Chicago Public Schools and District 214.

Request a transcript for dual credit courses completed at NLU  

When requesting your transcript you will need the last four digits of your NLU ID number in place of your Social Security Number. If you do not have your NLU ID number, you can either contact your school district or NLU at 847-947- 5718 or records@nl.edu. 

If your district is interested in partnering with NLU to offer Dual Credit courses please email partnerships@nl.edu.  

August/September  

  • Syllabi for dual credit courses must be submitted before the start of the district partner’s academic school year/fall semester. Syllabi should be emailed in one consolidated file to dualcredit@nl.edu 
  • Student registrations for fall semester and year-long classes are due by NLU’s fall add/drop deadline.

October  

  • NLU will create student usernames and NLU ID numbers for new students and share those with district partners to disseminate to students. 

December/January  

  • District partners submit final grades for fall semester classes based on the rosters established at the beginning of the semester.  
  • Syllabi for dual credit courses must be submitted before the start of the district partner’s spring semester. Syllabi should be emailed in one consolidated file to dualcredit@nl.edu 
  • Student registrations for spring semester classes are due by NLU’s spring add/drop deadline.

February  

  • NLU will create student usernames and NLU ID numbers for new students in spring courses and share those with district partners to disseminate to students. 
  • Fall grades will be available on student transcripts.  

May/June   

  • District partners submit final grades for fall semester classes based on the rosters established at the beginning of the semester.  
  • Spring grades will be available on student transcripts within 2 to 3 weeks of final grade submissions by the district.
