Special Interest Committees
Launched in 2022 in response to staff feedback, these three Special Interest Committees will be led by a Staff Rep with additional staff members across campuses and departments to determine and implement initiatives throughout the year.
Engagement and Recognition Committee
Create opportunities for staff across all NLU departments, centers, and campuses (including remote) to engage through educational, social and community outreach events to build a culture of collaboration and community. Build a culture of appreciation and recognition of staff (individual and team) consistently and equitably throughout the university to boost morale.
Professional Development Committee
Create regularly-offered professional and personal development opportunities and supports to promote employee (both staff and management) growth
Communications and Connections Committee
Provide consistent, clear, and timely staff-related information to and space for sharing feedback by the NLU community to advance transparency, improve knowledge sharing, empower employees, and create a synergy around institutional goals
